ShootJam is a full day entirely dedicated to private photo sessions between photographers and models, held at the Gimada Studios, formerly InAutomatico, at Via Selene 46 in Rome. No group model-sharing sessions: from morning to evening, every hour is a private session booked in advance, with the model of your choice and on the set you prefer. A format designed for photographers who want full control over their shoot — to create their own images, not someone else’s.
How the day works
Everything is managed through the online platform: once you have registered, you can choose the model, time slot and studio, with availability and prices displayed in real time. You can book a single session or fill your entire day — up to ten consecutive hours of shooting, changing models and sets for each time slot.
For each session, you decide how you want to shoot: alone, with the entire hour to yourself, or in a group of two or three photographers, sharing both the session — and the cost — with others.
Each model sets her own fee, which you can view on her profile before booking.
To take your photography to the next level, you can add a Master: an experienced photographer who will work alongside you for that hour, helping you with lighting, technique and artistic direction. A particularly valuable extra if you want to learn while you shoot. The Masters taking part in this edition are MaXu and Daniele Belli.
The location and sets
The Gimada Studios, at Via Selene 46, are spaces dedicated to models and photographers — easily accessible by public transport and equipped with professional lighting equipment. Two fully equipped studios, each measuring approximately 120 square metres, host the sessions:
Studio 1 — Studio with white cyclorama. White cyclorama, coloured walls and professional lighting included: a clean, versatile set for portrait and glamour photography.
Studio 2 — Studio with furniture and backdrops. A variety of furnishings, coloured walls, wallpaper, a brick wall and a piano: an atmospheric setting for photographers looking to create more elaborate and scenic images.
