Here you'll find live workshop listings, online video courses to sharpen your shooting and post-production techniques, MaXu's portfolio for inspiration and knowledge, and a full directory of geolocated models available for photo shoots.

What makes this directory special is that you can find out when models are in your area, even just temporarily. That makes it easier to set up a shoot.

Profile visibility and the way to get in touch depend on your account level:

Visitor (not registered): you can freely browse the models directory but you have no access to any information or portfolio photo.

Registered User (free): with a free registration, you can view the public portfolio and all the information the model has chosen to share with registered users.

Supporter subscriber: with the annual Supporter subscription, you unlock full access to all the private details models have entered (such as Email and Instagram profile) and you can browse the entire reserved portfolio, which may also contain nude photos.

Models registered on the site have access to an internal search to find photographers to set up shoots with, nearby or in specific regions.

To be contactable and appear in their search results, after the free registration set a Reference City in your personal area and tick “Allow models to contact me to propose a shoot”, choosing the channels through which you want to be reached (Instagram, Email or both).

This way your details (phone excluded) will be made available to the model. If you don't enter your first and last name, the odds she'll contact you are very low. In short… would you like to be contacted? Fill in every field carefully!

The Registered account is completely free and lets you watch 3 Tutorials, see MaXu's public portfolio, view the model profiles, save your favorites and gives you the chance to be contacted by them.

The annual Supporter subscription unlocks advanced tools: it gives you full access to the TUTORIALS, to MaXu's PORTFOLIO, and to the model profiles complete with Contacts and Supporter-reserved photos.

Being a Supporter also marks you as a select user when models view your profile to decide whether to contact you for a shoot together.

The annual Supporter subscription costs 49,95€ on promotion (full price 89,95€). You can pay online with PayPal, card or MyBank.

If you renew before it expires you don't lose a single day: the new year adds on to your current expiry date.

In your personal area you can detect your position with the GPS button, or type your town in the “Reference City” field and pick it from the menu. No precise address is needed: just the city or town.

This links the correct coordinates to your profile and lets the site's search engine calculate distances and show you to models looking for photographers in your area.

Because here you are the star, in front of an international showcase of passionate photographers. It's like having your own personal website — only better: you manage your card, photos and travels yourself and decide what to show and to whom, with no domains, hosting or coding to worry about.

• Before planning a tour, Find a Photographer lets you see how many photographers are in the city you'd like to visit, so you can plan accordingly.

• While on tour, local photographers get a notification that you're around: more chances to shoot.

• With one click you generate your flyer ready for social media, to bring your audience straight to your page.

A polished, always up-to-date page: the right place to truly get noticed, anywhere in the world.

Your model page is free, forever: a real personal page to get found by the right photographers.

Send your application from the “I am a model” page with a couple of lines about yourself: if approved, you'll receive access by email to create your page with photos, bio and your tour dates.

Once your page is complete and live, photographers can find you when you're on tour or in your own city.

Sign up as a model. It's a way to get noticed by him, and it's also a NECESSARY CONDITION to take part. For technical and logistical reasons, since all the events are run through this site, taking part is not possible if you're not signed up.

On your page you can publish the cities and dates of your upcoming tours.

When you announce a tour, photographers in that area get a notification: that makes it easier to set up shoots at the right time, right where you'll be.

Yes! Want to go somewhere but don't know any photographers there? Search for them with geolocation and contact the ones you find interesting!

The internal search shows you geolocated photographers who have chosen to be contacted, with their preferred channels (Instagram or email).

You decide, item by item. For each piece of info — city, socials, email, shoot availability, public and reserved portfolio — you choose who can see it: everyone, only registered users, only Supporters, or no one.

It's a special key you generate for a trusted person: whoever has it sees everything — contacts and reserved portfolio — for 24 or 48 hours, with no registration. You can revoke it anytime and, once expired, it stops working (just make a new one if needed). Perfect for a photographer you already know — you stay in control.

Yes, on two fronts.

Who sees them: the photos you want to keep reserved, you place yourself in your dedicated portfolio, visible to Supporters only (or to whoever you give the VIP link). What to show, and to whom, is always your call.

How we protect them: the images in your portfolio have technical safeguards against copying — right-click saving is disabled, dragging is blocked, and a protection layer sits over every photo to prevent it being grabbed directly.

Of course. One click on "Disable my profile" and you disappear from searches and the site; come back online whenever you like. The control is always yours.

The Supporters are selected, of-age photographers — serious people who are an active part of this community and care about their reputation here. They're not anonymous passers-by: they have a verified account and a face. That's why you can choose to show them a little more (your contacts, your reserved portfolio) with far more peace of mind than to a random visitor.

Sadly the world isn't perfect: always do your own research and ask for references before meeting strangers.
